AND PRIVACY POLICY
FOR PRIZE COMPETITIONS
1. Terms of Participation
1.1 Eligibility and Exclusion
The prize competition is organized by Das Salzberg, Mr. Kurt Thomanek. Only adults (18+) are eligible to participate. Any person who violates these Terms of Participation will be excluded. Participation via sweepstake entry services or similar providers, as well as via any unauthorized technical means, will result in exclusion from the competition.
1.2 Prizes
Nights in our holiday home and/or merchandise items such as our Das Salzberg bathrobes, flip-flops, etc. will be raffled.
1.3 Closing Date and Drawing
The closing date and the date of the drawing are specified in the respective competition overview.
1.4 Winner Selection and Notification
Winners will be selected at random on the day of the drawing and notified via private message on the respective social media platform or by email.
1.5 Prize Delivery
Prizes will be delivered digitally via email or by post once the winners have provided their email address or postal address after receiving the prize notification.
1.6 Legal Recourse
A cash payout of the prize is excluded. Legal recourse is excluded. By participating, the participant acknowledges the privacy policy set out below.

2.2 Purpose of Processing and Legal Basis
Das Salzberg processes the personal data provided by participants within the scope of the competition—namely name, email address, and date of birth—exclusively for the administration of the prize competition, including determining the winner, notifying the winner, delivering the prize, and verifying age via the date of birth.
The legal basis for processing personal data in the context of prize competitions is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
2.3 Transfer of Personal Data
Personal data will only be transferred to third parties if necessary for the administration of the competition.
2.4 Storage Period
Personal data will be retained until the end of the prize competition and deleted after the winner has been announced.
The winner’s personal data will be stored until the end of statutory commercial and tax retention periods.
2.5 Rights of Data Subjects
You have the right to request information about the personal data we store about you. If your data is incorrect, incomplete, or irrelevant, you have the right to request correction or deletion. You also have the right to request restriction of processing and the right to data portability.
If you have legitimate interests, you may also object to certain types of data processing.
If the processing of your data is based on your consent, you may revoke that consent at any time, with the effect that we will no longer process your data for the purposes covered by the consent from the moment we receive your withdrawal.
If you believe that your rights have been violated in the processing of your personal data, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, the Austrian Data Protection Authority.
3. No Affiliation with Meta
Competitions published on platforms of Meta Platforms, Inc. are in no way connected to Meta; they are neither sponsored, supported, nor organized by Meta. The recipient of the information provided by participants via Meta is not Meta, but Das Salzberg, Mr. Kurt Thomanek, Jugendherbergstraße 331, 8990 Bad Aussee.
